Van
Has anyone tried getting the front circlip out of the diff extension without taking the diff extension off the car? Is it possible?CheersVan
Deleted User
Yes I think we did it on my race car to change a very noisy quill shaft bearing... obviously a day before a hillclimb 200 miles away ... take off the propshaft, remove the flange,Remove circlip, pull out quill shaft with bearing... slide hammer helped....very fiddly even on a two post hoist as bearing wasn't keen on coming out99% sure we left the diff in situ... we didn't have time to remove it... however my brain is made of swiss cheese and it was about 6 years ago
