Velocita Rosso
Taken by surprise on the way down to The Plough tonightNew specs cameras just south of Buckden roundabout for about a 4/5 mile stretch, for `safety`There is an s bend in the A1 that appears to be creating accidents so they have put permanent cameras in placeAlso down most of the A1 they have started closing parts of the A1 for night time roadworksThese have and will be happening for monthsOn on occasion one of the two closures sent us down diversions which took us to the vicinity of the M1 !! These need careful watching other wise time and mileage will definitely be added on to the road books
Goody
As I recall their was road works on the A1 last time. Detour signs were OK. Steve and I got to the Blyth OK but some missed a turn or two.
Velocita Rosso
These specs are not roadworks,,....but permanentThere is an `S` in the AI that has been causing accidents, so they have slowed it down to 50MPH If you google Buckden, there is a traffic island, and about 1.5 mile south of that island you will see the `S` in the roadThe Northbound stretch of 50 is longer than the Southbound stretch...............and again its permanent The roadworks seem to be ongoing aswell but they have not been closing the A1 until gone 10pm
