Cadwell & Snetterton with MGoT

MGoT have announced then their Cadwell and Snetterton TDs are open for booking.  We are able to book for either of these from 12th Febuary.  Unfortunately MGoT demand for these TDs is high and Cadwell is already sold out and Snetterton has only 3 spaces remaining, so it is unlikely we will be able to book.  The best chance is to get onto the reserve list and see what happens.  For more information follow this link (highlight, left click and select goto menu option)

MGoT Newsletter – Cadwell Park & Snetterton Open for Booking
In this newsletter:

1. Cadwell Park
2. Snetterton 300
3. Calendar Reminder

1.    Cadwell Park, Monday 22nd April
Fondly nicknamed the 'mini Nürburgring', Cadwell Park is held closely in the hearts of many motorsport fans. Cadwell Park's twisty and undulating nature, winding through open park and woodland, has marked it out as one of the best circuits in the country. Once discovered, it is often a firm favourite amongst many who visit, whether as a spectator or participant. More information about the circuit may be found HERE.

We are delighted to be returning to Cadwell Park after a seasons break (our last day there was in 2011) and offer a session per hour within an MSV-run track-day. Usual MGoT rules and etiquette apply and we will have an MG’s only session within the three-sessions per hour day. Please note that as we have only one session running, this session will be mixed ability. As long as there are no stoppages, you will enjoy over two hours of track time during the day. As usual, helmets and instruction may be booked via our website.  All this for the bargain price of £120 (MGCC members). There are only 25 places available for this event so book quickly to ensure you don’t miss out. The event manager for the day is Tim Guy (TimG@MGs-on-Track.co.uk).

2.    Snetterton 300
Snetterton has undergone somewhat of a renaissance during the past two years following a multi-million pound redevelopment project at the start of 2011, which was met with rave reviews from both spectators and competitors alike. Drawing inspiration from iconic motorsport corners such as Monza's Parabolica and the Montreal Hairpin, the Snetterton 300 circuit hosts the British Touring Car Championship, British Superbike Championship and British F3 and GT Championships. The major redevelopment in the venues history was undertaken in 2011 by MSV to create the multi-configuration venue that Snetterton now is. More information about the circuit may be found HERE.

This is your chance to drive the 300 circuit, the same circuit configuration used by BTCC and for the bargain price of only £130 (MGCC members). Once again, MGoT have secured a 20 minute session per hour in an MSV run day and we expect each car to have over two hours of track time, assuming there are no stoppages. There are only 36 places for this event and we expect these to sell VERY quickly, better book fast! The event manager for the day is Tim Guy (TimG@MGs-on-Track.co.uk).

Me too, Tom.  It does not bode well for Donington either.  MGoT appear to have taken 1 session within a Club MSV day, thereby providing only about 33% of the spaces that they would have previously.  It reflects the drop in demand for TDs.

I am looking at some other alternatives such as CSMA's day at Bedford in March and finding out what Practical Classics are doing this year.

I wonder if it is possible to team up with other Triumph Clubs: TRR and TR Drivers club as a consolidation to bring the numbers up. ?

I have booked 27th March off work for Donington, full GP circuit, but this will have modern cars that have entered.

Thanks, Chris. I will do a Track day with Practical Classics again, but would like a different track to Blyton. Cadwell perhaps.

We shall see.

Cheers.
