SteveJP
I am shortly going to replace the BMC on my Stag as it is leaking - the manual says remove the complete unit with Servo before dismantling the master cylinder - is this neccessary, or can I just drain the cylinder, disconnect the hydraulic pipes and remove the two bolts holding the BMC to the servo unit? nibby
I replaced the seals on mine the other day. It is difficult to remove the bolt nearest the wing but can be done, I left the servo in situ but fully understand it would be easier with the servo removed.Best of luck
shenderson
I found it's a real fiddle to remove th ecylinder without also removing th eservo.I got an exchange master cyl. from Past Parts in Bury St Edmunds - http://www.pastparts.co.uk/ - they bore out and resleeve them and exchange for about £100. Excellent service.Steve
