811500
Hello AllI need to replace the clutch master cylinder on my Spit 1500. I have spoken to a couple of suppliers who now supply an alternative to the original which is less expensive. The problem is that the fluid reservoir is at a right-angle to the cylinder as opposed to being set at an angle of approx 45 degrees as on the original. This of course means that the reservoir would stand at the wrong angle once the cylinder is fitted to the angled bracket.I am told by the suppliers that these replacements work ok but I'm not sure. Has anyone fitted one of these replacements and were there any problems with its operation ?. I hope I've explained this clearly.ThanksJamie
GT6Steve
I use these on the racer and they work fine. You lose some fluid capacity with the tilted body but that's not a problem. Only thing is it will look a bit of a bodge perhaps. Maybe not though since it'll be sitting next to the big brake master cylinder? Just be sure to get the same diameter.
