sling100 Posted May 11, 2007 Share Posted May 11, 2007 Now this is one of those questions that's so stupid that you can't find the answer anywhere. the troublr is I don't know the answer.....I'm rebuilding both brake and clutch master cylinders (fluid in both was about 15 years old eek) and in the rebuild kits is some grease. What is this for? i thought you just used brake fluid to lubricate everything?No dodgy lubricant answers please.. :oSimon Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
herald948 Posted May 11, 2007 Share Posted May 11, 2007 Right or wrong, I've always used the grease only to pack the area under the "outer boot" of the cylinder, lubricating all other parts with brake fluid as I assemble.
