mikesloan
Anyone got any experience with Spax shock absorbers? Front O/S one on my TR4 has come apart in the middle. No wonder the car was bouncing!! Do I really have to replace both? Rimmers want £129 a pair and I need them by Thursday. Any advice?
Greeks
It's a bit late now as you're bound to have made a decision Mike, but you really should change them at the same time. ;) try a different stockists though you might get a better price
mikesloan
Thanks for the advice. I did replace both shock absorbers so that we could do the Round Britain but I fitted standard shocks made by County and supplied by Moss. They are softer but no problem for that. I won't be wasting my money on Spax again.

Phil Wright
It may be worth sending them back to spax for repair/overhaul...... Must be cheaper than buying a new pair. I have found that modern repro dampers go soft after a relatively short time. I've fitted a full set of koni's and have never looked back!
