wfarnworth Posted March 28, 2007 Share Posted March 28, 2007 For an overdrive conversion, does it make sense to have the existing propshaft shortened or could I obtain another propshaft & have that shortened in advance in readiness for the conversion?I seem to recall reading somewhere that it would cause balance problems if you take a propshaft from another car.(Or maybe I dreamed it)Wayne Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
davidcourier Posted March 28, 2007 Share Posted March 28, 2007 There should be no balance problem if you take one from another car...as long as that one was properly balanced..........I would shorten your existing one and have it balanced afterwards.
