Bryan
Can any one advise what the torque setting is for the nut that is released to reveal the diff front end seal please. The Haynes naual i have doesn't state.Update on welding. Car is still in garage being welded and is going good. The guy knows what he is doing. Pics will follow. Still alot to do though and rear suspension to refit. Have furnished the rear suspension with new polyurethene bushes whilst everything was down. Have purchased new wheel cylinders and hoses and a new S/S exhaust to replace the now aging (but not failed yet) exhaust. Removed the petrol tank to permit welding to boot corner and looks like this was replaced at some time as it is too good condition to be original. Quite pleasing that is after everything else we are having to do. Expect to have the car back sometime next week if all goes well then it's clean up and painting underneath, two new front tyrees and i'm ready for the spring - if it ever arrives as Scotland is currently being hit by snow storms! Tim Bancroft
I presume that you are talking about the Pinion oil seal and nut. On a Tri. 2000 the torque setting is 90-100lb ft.
