Martins Stag
A common challenge with the Stag is that to get the battery out you have to release the power steering pump. I know some people have moved there battery to get round this. What are the preferred options? Or is there a way of moving the power steering pump out of the way? thanks Martin
nang
The usual place is the boot, how often do you need to remove battery though? Tony.
Gt6s
Quoted from nang- The usual place is the boot, how often do you need to remove battery though? Tony. I would not do that the leads will not stretch🙂 If you do decide to do this get a marine plastic battery box and use 35^2 welding cable. iggy
Ive moved my battery on my mk2 saloon to the boot, not sure about the stags but on the saloons theres a recess of about 120mm or more next to the drivers side rear wing and enough width to fit an after market battery tray, theres a 25mm hole and grommet low down behind the clutch peddle and ive run the cable under the front seat and carpet with one hole drilled with grommet to get under the rear seat to the boot 🙂
