mk3 with 1500 engine and 10 spline overdrive gearb

I have a mk 3 spitfire with overdrive gearbox from a mk4 which has 10 splines,having a bit of clutch judder decided to remove box to check clutch.my car has a 6.5 inch pressure plate fitted so I must have  a mk3 flywheel fitted to a 1500 engine is this possible or has there been some kind of bodge done in the past

certainly possible. I have a mk2 with a 1500 engine and 3 rail od box. I just had to drill the bolt holes on the original flywheel to take the larger bolts. It's been like that since about 1994 so it certainly works fine, thogh the clutch will wear faster than the 1500s.
