13/60 overdrive

Hi there can anybody tell me if herald 13/60s had overdrive fitted as standard or are parts taken from spitfires to do the conversion.Does anybody think it a worthwhile proposition .thanks Dave

No Herald was made with o/d.
You are right parts are retro fitted from Spitfires.

Very worthwhile mod, as increases driveability- knowck high speed engine speed down.  Best to go for a kit from someone like Canley Classics. Purchase a j type one, very simple wiring- no need for a relay.
