ferny Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Is there any way to tell what number car mine is from the chassis number like the other Triumphs?
Deleted User Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 The MK1 clock, BNP 8031 was fitted to 100001 to 180414 (RHD) and 113051 to 160102 (LHD)The MKII clock, CPK 8038 was fitted to 180415 onwards (RHD) and 180103 onnwards (LHD)Out of interest, the microfiche for the instruments also shows a number of "Police Only" items.Has anyone come across and ex-police Acclaim ?
Barry Acclaim Guru Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Cant say I have come accross one. Logic dictates that the majority of police Acclaims would most likly to have been L models, as the car is unsuited to high speed persuits. L's are now rare due to there low trim spec, and low second hand value and lack of cudos. Eg Who at 17, and in the nineties, would want to be seen in their grandads car? So, on face value, It doesn't look good for the home team does it?If there are any out there then Northern Irland should be where they are hideing. Apparently the para militery types liked them for doing post office jobs, small banks, ..etc, because they could leave anything the ruc could muster. In the end the ruc bit the bullet, so to speak, and bought a load of silver acclaims to fight back.Have any of these survived?b
