Lord Sorbington
One thing on my wish list is a starter motor that will actually work whenever I want it to. I like to live life on the edge so am persevering with my current knackered one for now, (have been since last Christmas) it always works, just needs 2 or 3 attempts sometimes. I think the main contacts are worn out as the solenoid seems to operate OK.Are the new hi torque starters worth the extra over a normal recon one? Do they need any wiring alterations (mk2 2000)? gilesdive
They reckon the new fancy ones actually draw LESS current than the original ones, so no wiring changes needed.I put one on my TR6, and it spins it over at a goodly rate. Impressed. I think I still have the old one kicking around somewhere if you want it- I'm in Yorkshire.
Lord Sorbington
Thanks for the offer of the starter, I'm in Shropshire so a bit of a distance away, but will bear it in mind.CheersAlan
