How to replace the dynamo

I have just taken out the old dynamo which wasn't working and am now trying to put in the new one, only problem is that I can't seem to figure out how. Could anyone draw a little diagram and mail it to me, tell me how or suggest another web site. Thanks for any help offered!!

Hi Molly,
How far have you got with changing the dynamo, it should be a fairly straightforward process. To remove the old one you should have undone the top adjuster nut/bolt and loosened both of the lower dynamo mounting bolts. The dynamo is pushed inwards slightly to loosen the fanbelt, once this is out of the way the dynamo can be hinged back towards you and the lower mounting bolts removed completely. As the old cliche goes, replacement is the reverse of the above. There should be a suitable diagram in the workshop manual showing the positions of the mounting bolts and washers, I can mail you a copy of this tomorrow if it helps.

A copy of that would be great, I do feel like a bit of a prat for not noting down what I took apart. The main confusion I have is over the hinge type piece with the large screw.
