Will anyone be at the plough tonight or anywhere near it? Theo (Beans) has now arrived at my place and we'll take a ride down for a bit of pre RBRR banter and drinkies if anyone is about? :)

Route - M40 and M25 on Sunday ?:@&^%$!!
Radders replied to cook1e's topic in Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR)
The route in 2010 was to cut across to the A41 and then onto the M25. We stuck to it but saw a lot of cars turn onto the M40 and go that way. We thought about it, but we felt that after we'd stuck to route nearly all the way round we may as well finish it properly. :) -

RBRR Support Okehampton
Radders replied to John Bonnett's topic in Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR)
That's brilliant John, it'll be great to get some support at this new stop. We'll all be our second night without sleep by the time we get to you, (unless you're like Mike Bishop and can sleep for 8 hours solid with the car on the move!) so you'll have to excuse the haggard and knackered faces! (Although some of us look like that all the time! ;D) Look forward to seeing you. :) -

My local Motex does VR1 for £20.50 per gallon. I've bought one this morning for the oil change. :) -

Route from London up to the A1?
Radders replied to mpbarrett's topic in Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR)
We missed the A10 last time because Mrs Policewoman made us turn left out the pub car park instead of right! So we went up through Northaw and cut onto the A1 at Hatfield. :) -

And I'm a bit nearer than Scrapman. :) What carbs you going to be running? If your car is still on the original linkage, but you're going to switch to SU's, you'll need another throttle pedal, throttle plate and cable. -

And check that you have a good earth from the battery to the engine AND the body. -
Get to the Plough a good few hours before the event and do your socialising there. It's a more relaxed atmosphere (Before the excitment and adrenalin kick in as the event start time approaches that is!.) ;)
