Update: this wax a pain in the arse to say the least!!!! Tried many things even managed to kebab and thread a piece of string through the hole-this was fun. Pull it broke the pipe!!! Talk about wedged Final brain wave. Heat with hot air gun till pipe went floppy (o eerr mrs), rekebabed and managed to flick it out. Only 3 bleeding knuckles. Now sealed internally, the por stuff is good, but need to follow directions well!! Plus don't let it spill on ur drive it doesn't go and looks like vomit!!! And I have 3 patches, and let's say the lady of the house is not impressed. Thought the update may help someone in the future. Another job off the list!!! Tim.

hi all. ive just stripped my original girling clutch and brake master cylinders. They need to be re-sleeved as there are some damage/corrosion to the bores. I have two questions: 1) I seem to have two brake masters, one 5/8th and the other 0.70 (written on the sides) am I right in thinking the 0.7 would be the better to get resleeved as its a bigger bore and hence more fluid shifted for the same movement?? or am I just being stupid!! 2) can anyone recommend a good place to get the work done and what sort of price is reasonable, so far ive been quited £41.5 + Vat for just the resleeving work or £53 fully rebuilt ready to back on the car, is this a fair price?? it was a bit more than I was expecting, but then again it usually is!! thanks tim. 8)

sponmon on ebay makes them himself from time to time. I bought my spring compressor from him, benefit for me hes only just down the road, but all his stuff is very well made, and I think he supplies a lot of the companies. tim.

hi for my chassis I used bilt hamber epoxy mastic stuff, then topcoated with body colour. theres been a few 'spanner/hammer/etc drops' which have knocked off the topcoat but not the epoxy stuff, seems fab. used eastwood chassis paint for the components, but so far not impressed as it seems to be peeling in places!! the bits I did with hamerite (when I ran out of chassis paint) seem to be varing much better. tim

Hi all quick fuell pump question, just getting ready for the 1st start up in 29 yrs!! fitted the fuel pump that was marked gt6 including the invoice for it from a spares place, so I thought it was right.... whilst looking for how to route the fuel line I noticed it looked just like a s fuel pump, lookwill ts just like this one: https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTSslZ9Irr81Lx3H-MCt0bewVl9lYYDThrL720qPk5NsNEbclDy Will this work??? ive got another that needs a new one way valve that I screwed up previously, just thinking for the 1st start, or will it not give enough fuel? thanks guys. tim.

I think it sounds great. My car had the original 15acr which is feeble in output so if I put in a45amp should be more than capable. Quoted figures are for full power, even I can't hack it on full for that long!! It's just deciding which one to use, and where to mount the switches any ideas? Tim

Hi all Thinking of installing heated seats when I come to recover my seats, I too used to mock people with them but once you have them you don't want to go back!! Makes winter mornings lovely!! My questions is alternator/power needs. They seem to draw about 3-5amps and 90 watts if using both seats. What alternator would be best? As I'm about to buy a new alternator as my current one is rusted solid. Any suggestions?? Thanks Tim
