    Looks good, well done.
  2. There are several wheels with a smaller diameter that you can fit. The standard warning that people add about doing it is that the smaller the wheel the greater the effort to turn it at low speed.
  3. I don't know if Rimmers do the parts you want but they do offer a delivery service with all fees etc paid so there are no surprises on delivery
  4. A sort of entry level BMW. If the buyer liked the Triumph them they might upgrade later.
  5. Quite a regular question on this or another Triumph forum, try a search to see what copmes up. I have fitted them to my 1968 13/60 convertible without any problems. I used the original mounting points. The important issue is to make sure you buy a set where the reel can be mounted at any angle to work. They were a fiddle to mount initially but once set I've had no problems. Check out Securon seat belts.
  6. Ibis's mother is called Sofi, we had a cat a while back called Nova. Our 'hotel' phase.
  7. I should have added that Ibis, one of our cats, never sits on the modern always the Herald, which proves the Herald IS best
  8. Me too, the modern is efficient, comfortable, quiet. However the Herald gets to put a smile on my face
  9. Not just auto lights, surprising how many older cars don't have lights on in poor weather.
  10. That was a point raised here in France a few years back when someone proposed making it a requirement for cars not equipped with daylight running lights to have dipped headlights on at all times. The counter argument was just that point about increased fuel consumption
  11. Accuspark fitted to my 13/60 in 2017 no problems. OK, so now I've jinxed 🤐
  12. My Yeti goes through a sort of haka routine at every start up. Left, right, up, down, outwards & inwards. Don't know what their default setting is is the sensors fail, at those prices I'm in no hurry to find out
  13. Many, many, many years ago I recall ads for glasses like these claiming to reduce glare/eye strain at night and make vision clearer. No idea if they are any good or are just snake oil like the lead balls for the petrol tank. However, allegedly, one of the reasons French cars used to have yellow headlights was to reduce glare to oncoming drivers. I've not been driving here long enough to have had cars equipped with them. You can still buy yellow headlight bulbs here.
  14. I got mine from a supplier here in France so that won't help. They are Securon, check out their site for they angle adjustable mounting types. They took a bit of time to mount so they worked correctly but once fitted no problems http://www.securon.co.uk/seat_belt_harness_tech_specs.htm
  15. I have inertia reel ones for the front seats of my 13/60 and they work fine. Make sure you get ones where the reel can be mounted at any angle. From memory they are the same reference as mentioned above
  16. As I said, normal road use. The pads were new in 2019 bought from a normal car spares shop so highly unlikely they contained any asbestos.
  17. That's a problem we oldies have, we also aren't very good at staying awake either . . .
  18. I use Datch in France for parts for my 13/60, they do list parts for some of the bigger Triumphs, worth a look just in case - postage is of course much less than abroad https://www.datch.fr/fr/machoiresplaquettes-c-2_44_4411_441111_44111112.html
  19. I have a 13/60 and the standard setup is perfectly fine for normal road use. I think the front pads are Ferodo, or at least nothing special
  20. No, it's always like that 😁😁😁
  21. I've a 13/60 and put one just before the petrol pump
  22. And the weather should have been good into the bargain. Get next year booked then . . . We got back from 8 days in sunny Bretagne ourselves this afternoon to sunny Normandie.
  23. We will be staying there tomorrow night, we've stopped there 3 or 4 times when passing to or from Brittany, always the same hotel. Mercure, Dinan Port Le Jezual.
  24. The first time my parents came over to visit us after we moved they commented on how clean and tidy places were and that nobody had ripped the plants out of the various beds in villages. They even commented that the farms were tidy.
  25. Much cheaper than the real stuff, 1/2 the price, but you are right the car won't thank you for it.
