  1. I had the same question a while back.  After painting the spring I did not notice a stamp that said front.   On close inspection I found it.  I had put it on right.  When I asked the question here all the replys were that it did not make any differance and some were not marked.  I also used the pictures of before I took it off to see how the clips were faceing.
  2. Thanks Nick:  Where and how did you mount it and have a pic or two?  I have the duel SU set up.
  3. Thanks:  I'll take another look on my bulkhead.  Since I use my red conv for rallys and endurance runs the more brakeing power the better.  The car does have the disk conversion on the ft.  I could not figure anywhere below the shelf that would not interfear with the bonnet.  Anyone have one on a Herald?  If so how much if any inprovement?
  4. A few weeks ago I put new clutch and brake master's on the Herald I am restoring.  Did not notice till I went to fit them that the angle was different.  I called (Dave) and was told that the new ones come like that.  While I could get new ones with the correct angle they would cost a lot more and I should have no problem using the one's he sent me.   To me they just look funny Pete: I see you have a power brake boster, how did you mount it and did you have to cut anything?  I can't figure on my Herald where it will fit.  Keep in mine is a LHD.
  5. Tim: I still have plenty of my 72min of nonstop BANJO CD's and my all time best instrumental only driving rock tunes.
  6. Anyone know if Pat Barbor is gonna try again?  In 08 he did not bring a car over and co-drove with Carl.
  7. BobbySpit: Wanna move?  Will sell you my house, 4,800sqft with 2 1/2 car garage, 3 1/2acers and plus a 5 car GARAGE!  Will make you a good deal ;) Ask those who have seen it!
  8. Manchester is like Luton Everyone needs to see it ONCE!
  9. DollyRoo has her new windscreen (a real one this time) and is ready, counting the days. Bobby:  Same spare list as last time. Is the last 10CR over?  Only 3 cars that I know of including us made it back to the Plough Monday night!
  10. DollyRoo with her 2L TR7 engine did very well. Only slight temp rise when pulling hard.  Good running, no fuel or mixture problems.  In fact with our speed limited due to both temp windscreens we were getting over 38mph!  Used less than a 1/16 qt of oil on the entire trip.
  11. I did not get the EMail with the Tom Tom info.  Someone please send.  I will have a few day upon arrival in England to sort them.  I will also at that time get my first look at the road book.   Remember I have Ash, (will sell to the highest bidder) so take pitty on me.   :'( I leave the states this Saturday arrive Sunday, on to Basingstoke to pick up DollyRoo.
  12. If we are talking the same one, it was dark but open. Only a one hole'er outhouse ment long line.  Though you could not see it form the A9 it was only a short distance away.  Don't remember if they had hot coffee.  But hay we aren't going to stay longer than to get gas anyway.
  13. In 06 I seem to remember Ashley Mills knew of a all night station just off the A9 south of Alness.  We were in the front of the pack and quite a few also knew of this stop.  At least that's how I remember it.  Last time we came accross a small mom and pop station that just opened for the day around Dunbeath just as it was getting light.  DollyRoo will go more than 350 miles on a tank but Ash's Acclaim does not have that much safe range.
  14. As for the Pie's, back in 06 the oversize one's got their first and I did not get any.  Last time I managed to get 1!.  While they are OK not something I would rush to get.  I don't think I could get 100+ Triumph's in my driveway, 50 maby but not 100, no matter what some think.  The wife would make sure everyone got something to eat.  She would just call in a order to our local store that does platters.  She is good about that and spending my money.  Thankfully my garage fridge does not hold that much BEER but than you can't drink and drive anyway.  Of course their is no way the RBRR could came here without a boat.  You would be welcome though.  I assume you don't really burn Otter's or yell Holt to Badgers.  Sleeping in the garage? Problem?  You just have to let the sheep out once in a while, or you are knee deep in IT!   I trust Tim and his gang will work everything out and all will be fine.  Thanks for the offer but I don't need heart deisease as I have allready had a massive heart attack and six by-pass'es.
