Hallum
Hi,I have recently purchased a set of new front calipers for my mk3 spit. Whilst doing so I have also replaced the discs. The right went on fine, then coming to the left I have found the hub is making contact with the caliper on the left side, yet the disc is making contact with left inside of the caliper? We're there different size hubs fitted to different models of the spitfire? The hubs are different in appearance, but I have not yet had a chance to measure them. Any thoughts? Many thanks Harry
Pete Lewis
the chamfer on the back of the hub with type `14 calipers is a machined turned chamfer to get some clearance if your hubs are just a rough cast chamfer then contact is possible, attack the chamfer with an angle grinder to remove some material or take to get them in latheyou have early hubs for type 12 calipers on a later car with type 14s fitted Pete
