Ron
This is very similar to a design I thought I might make rather than spending a fortune on one commercially. Still might have a go just for the hell of it.
ahebron
I to made one like that but could not get it to stay in shape when using it. Thinking my lathe was not big enough to fit in an approriate size blank I paid a dozen Tui to get a tame machinist turn me one. Works a treat and I went through all my axles removing the rear hubs.Adrian
MarkB
I made this years ago, used it many times, never failed. Made from a spitfire front hub.Blue
Jonny-Jimbo
What's the other side like Blue?
MarkB
There is just a large nut welded on the other side dead centre. If anybody decides to make one up, use the biggest nut and bolt you can find and make sure its welded dead centre so all the force goes down the drive shaft when wound in.Blue
