2litre-e
moving the rear radius arm mounting further into the middle as is required for the roto setup and am wondering if i need to reinforce the body tub as the original position seems to have been strengthened but the new one where the grommets are is just plain sheet metal? GT6Steve
Yes, reinforce the new mounts just as the original was done. You should have those parts readily available from the vendors?
James
You can get the reinforcements from most places.
James
Crikey - don't remind me of the price - I have two of those sitting around doing nothing at the moment... ready for my Spitfire... whenever that is...

2litre-e
can't i just use a slab of 6mm steel with some holes in it?
richardbounds
I noticed that Jonathan Binnington made some brackets of his own: (from here: http://www.supersix.50megs.com/photo2.html)I've been tempted to do something similar and add some extra reinforcement to my repaired heelboard while I'm at it. Piero franchi
you are FAR better of moving the old original ones, the copys made today aint even a good fit, pluss you end up with two.move the old ones, and use a carpet from a gt6 (just for that part)looks original then, costs nothing and it can be carpeted.
