Richard_M
I'm fitting a set of std County pistons to an FD Spit mk3 block during a bottom end rebuild.I'm confident that the County's are up to it - but not at all confident of the quality of the supplied County rings.Where should I be looking for a set of compatible rings at higher quality?ThanksR
heraldcoupe
When County supply rings on their own they've historically been Grants or Deves. What brand have they supplied with the pistons?Cheers,Bill.
Richard_M
Mmm - not sure Bill. The pistons and rings have been used together (briefly) as a stop-gap, so packaging is long gone.I'm aiming for a re-build with more longevity this time, hence the desire for better rings.R
sparky_spit
I have a set of new County FD 1300 std pistons and rings here, which I've had for a year or so. No manufacturer's markings on the rings thenselves, except some light blue and darker blue marked bands. On the ring packaging, there are no manufacturing names, just the instructions on fitting the rings in English and in Spanish. Not sure if this helps or not.
