Core Plugs.

What method do you use to get these out ? Was going to change the lot while I have the motor out. Had a bit of a fight to get one out of the head with a chisel and screwdriver. Thought there must be a better way.  :o

Screwdriver through the middle and lever out.

Depends if they have been installed with Loctite, as to how easy they come out.

agreed other option is to drill a hole put a hooked tool attachement for a small slide hammer and whack away

but i tend to drill and lever out, tried knocking a hole in one with a chisel before and it disapeared into the block was fun trying to get it out after that

drill and screw in big headed self tapper and a forked crow bar can oik them out.

but they can be easy or ....swines,


fit new ones dry or a hard sealant....., no silcon  this is too slippery and they  can  pop out under  water pressure

Got the 2 head one's out with a combination of drill (screw didn't work)  chisel and large screwdriver along with a bit of swearing.
Block one's are for next weekend now that I have some new one's.

Recomend Some good Tipple in the Tea doesnt help the core plugs but the swearing will improve  Ha !!
