Bonners Posted April 25, 2015 Share Posted April 25, 2015 I am trying to replace the bumpers on our 63 convertable - the original rubber ones were replaced with Vitesse - ones - I have removed those and have bought replacement rubber set with guides but I am experiencing difficulty in getting the rubbers on to the metal guides - especialy on the corners.Any ideas please thanks Simon :-/ Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Goody Posted April 25, 2015 Share Posted April 25, 2015 I found using plumbers grease (clear) on the bumpers first. You can add more as you go. For the 4 curved parts start by pushing on with the curve end first on the straight runner . Having done this twice is what works best for me. The plumbers grease is easy to wipe off when done.
