Berry22 Posted April 23, 2012 Share Posted April 23, 2012 Hello, im new member here iv just finishd restoring my first herald. overall i was pretty pleased with the finishd result, but the doors were an absolute nightmare to get flush with the bodywork iv tried allsorts, yet they stil are protuding from the body work and look awful, it lets the rst of the car down. im new to triumphs so any helpful tips u guys can give me would be great. marktheherald Posted April 23, 2012 Share Posted April 23, 2012 If they are protruding at the bottom rear then you have 'tub-spread'. Fixed by pulling the waist of the car together at the upper seat belt mounting points. There's a thread running at the moment which deals with this. The procedure is a bit frightening, but will sort out that particular problem. Seems it's an age related thing, my Estate suffers from it (43yrs)...So do I (60plus yrs ;D) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
