Rear lights

Redoing the electrics on a MkII spit.
Had brake lights and LH rear light, then connected earth on bumper brackets, lost brake lights, still got LH rear light.

Don't think the brake light switch is faulty because I disconnected one wire and shorted it on the other, no difference.

Do I need to run an earth wire inside the light from one of the fixing screws to the third connector which is on the bulb holder methinks?

The front lights are ok

Any ideas?

Sorted, had left second red wire out of LH running light so numberplate light and RH rear light weren't getting any. Brakes and gauges was an oxidised fuse, cleaned up, off ya go.
