Diverboy Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 Hi - I am new to the club and have achieved one of my bucket list items of owning a spitfire from the year of my birth - looking to re-build the body on my '66, it is a late mk2, so has the push button door handle. My wings are useable but been advised to source replacements if I can - So if anybody has any bits lying around please get in touch. OR - apart from Rimmers - if there are any known good sources of higher quality aftermarket panels I would also appreciate that support - thxs... Thxs...M Quote
thescrapman Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 There I see usually only 1 source for each Triumph Panel, so shop for best price. it depends on who owns the tooling for that panel. I suspect Fitchetts own the wing tooling. Quote
65redspit Posted June 1, 2020 Posted June 1, 2020 I've got a complete bonnet - the nose cone is a mess but the wings are pretty good, depends on whether you just want rust free or perfection. The only thing is you would have to wait a couple of months for them... Quote
Guppy916 Posted June 2, 2020 Posted June 2, 2020 Here's a few to start you off, I used Rimmer's for most of my requirements, email and phone calls, their help was first class, right down to when I ordered the wrong parts they would always swop them over, and Chris Witor absolutly fab,,,,, If you get stuck just ask us all https://rimmerbros.com/SubCategory--Triumph-Spitfire--m-191 Chris Witor Triumph Specialistwww.chriswitor.com https://www.canleyclassics.com/?catalogue=triumph-gt6-mkiii&diagram=catalogues http://www.jamespaddock.co.uk/spitfire SC Parts Group Ltd Onlineshop - Spares for your classic carAd·www.scparts.co.uk/01293 847200 Triumph Spitfire Parts - Everything For Your ClassicAd·www.moss-europe.co.uk/triumph/spitfire020 8867 2020 Spitfire Graveyardspitfiregraveyard.com Triumph Spitfire spares, parts and accessories -Spitbitz in ...www.spitbitz.co.uk Ref.html http://www.bmhweb.co.uk/steelcraft/tsb.htm?tsb Quote
Clive Posted June 2, 2020 Posted June 2, 2020 Fitchets are the people who seem to own and make many of the panels. Usually best to phone them, old fashioned (in a very good way) company Otherwise canley classics and james paddocks for me. Some stuff I have had to look further afield, but not often. Quote
