Bonnet gas struts

Hi all, 

 

If i remember right.. didn't the Rover 200/25 tailgate ones fit the mkiv/1500 bonnet pretty good ? 

 

Or are there from other cars that fit good ?

You need to go to weight lifting school.....Yes I think you are right.....I have about 200 of these struts ,....but not sure of the length without checking

I made both plates out of Alloy Plate and a Off cut of angle,

also they supplied the ball fittings

Do you maybe know the lenght and trow of the struts ?

And how much force they have ?

Stroke/travel length :- 270 mm

Force rating :- 390 N

Around the same size as the ones are had.

But mine where 200 N.. 390N is nearly twice the force.

Wim can I suggest if you already have them why don't you try them and see if they work? 

If not just go back to the orignal until you can get the stronger ones?
