Pete Lewis Posted September 15, 2011 Share Posted September 15, 2011 slacken the 2 steering tube saddle clamps, loosen the slide clamp lock nut and allen screw just below the outer column.pull the assy upwards , tighten 2 saddle clamps under facia nip the slide allen screw, lock the locknut why not put a workshop manual on your wish list Peter Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

nang Posted September 17, 2011 Author Share Posted September 17, 2011 Finally managed to move steering wheel up, after pulling , twisting and finally giving the wheel some taps under the spokes. I guess it hasn't moved for 38 years and the splines were a bit sticky. Mush easier now to get the knee in position to use the clutch! :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
