heraldcoupe
There should be an earth wire exiting the light unit and fixed by a loop to the top overrider bolt. On earlier cars the wire was grounded using one of the light unit's mounting screws,Cheers,Bill.
brucy
should this wire be inside the boot or outside Bill? I can't see any cables coming off either light cluster
heraldcoupe
Should be inside the boot and quite visible behind the lights. This might explain the dim lights!Cheers,Bill.
brucy
Success, wired in the earth, and i have tail lights again ;D ;Dand then they went off and there was a load of smoke from under the dash ::) ::), the rear lights aren't getting anything now. I've had a look under the dash but can't see where it was comming from. I also can't get it to smoke again to show me where the problem is...the front lights still work ok which i assume means that the wiring rather than the switch will be at fault, and i guess theres no fuses to blow either. Ideas anyone??Andy ??) ??)
