Just got my first TR7.  Only wanted one since I was 5 years old!!

It's pretty much standard.  It starts fine, but I notice the battery is 35 AH which seems a bit small.  What should this be?  I can see the tray is small so I guess that limits what you can fit?

Also, do folks manage ok with the standard alternator, or should I think about an upgrade?

Standard battery on a TR7 should be 45Ah.

Original alternator should be fine as long as the car is original.
So as long as the standard alternator works as it should,
and you haven't fitted stronger headlight bulbs or spotlights, leave the standard alternator in place.

Cheers Beans!

The battery does look a bit puny for sure - upgrade to 45Ah to follow.

The car came without a battery clamp, so I got one from Rimmers.  Not sure where the lugs grab onto.  Has anyone got a picture by any chance?

Cheers,
Glenn

Not the clearest of pictures, original clamp and battery rods ...

The rear rod attaches to the small round hole at the back of the battery tray (just above of the thick black earth wire and to the left of the two connectors) ...

While the front rod attaches to a similar hole at the rear of the strut tower.
