mazfg Posted March 14, 2017 Share Posted March 14, 2017 Just have a question. I've got a Vitesse 6 and as standard it has a 7/8" clutch slave cylinder. Can you put a 1" bore instead? Only asking as I'm unsure of what mine is and when I bought a new one a few years back I'm sure the guy recommended going with the larger one? Unable to tell what I have. Only marking on mine are: TVS-Girling, T38 9PG and 06670759 (or 39..difficult to make out).Just need someone to say..nope...should defintiely be 7/8" and a 1" wouldn't work.. RobPearce Posted March 14, 2017 Share Posted March 14, 2017 I've recently replaced Tessa's clutch slave with a 7/8 instead of the correct 1" and it's much nicer. Also, a lot cheaper.The only real difference it makes is that the 1" makes the pedal slightly lighter at the expense of more travel, so the bite point could end up in the carpet.
