Clutch slave cylinder removal

When I was working on the engine and gearbox during the restoration I had the luxury of not having any body parts on the chassis to get in the way! Now that I need to get to the clutch slave cylinder am I right in assuming that I'll have to remove the transmission tunnel cover and attack it from the inside?
