Martins Stag
I am in the process of collecting the bits to convert my Stag from Auto to manual plus overdrive. I'm noticed that the car has a transmission cooler on it. So it set me thinking is it worth fitting an oil cooler to the car once I remove the transmission cooler? I think it would be obvious to use the same location but what do other think? Is there any choice on oil cooler takeoff plates?ThanksMartin
nibby
I wouldn't bother, money more useful in other areas.
Flying Farmer
For road use I wouldn't bother with an oil cooler. I have one fitted to one of mine but that is for track day abuse, just need some decent brakes now!Neil
Richard B
Worth having a spin-on oil filter conversion; if not already fitted.
Martins Stag
RichardYes I have a spin on conversion already. I'll put this on the back burner for the momentMartin
CharliesStag
Before shelving the idea I would get an oil temp gauge personally and see just how hot the oil gets. However, a good oil can be quite resistant to temp changes.
