MarkDeTriomphe
Most places should sell them - got mine from Chris Witor but sure you will find them at most of the usual retailers.

Sometimes I have to spike/tear it to remove from the block.
WeeAndy
Thanks for warning ! Is that adaptor for modern spin off oil filter worth doing? i.e does it perform any better than original equipment or is it just for convenience please? Thanks for input Wee Andy :)
DJB_Harvey
My view is the spin-on conversion on Triumph 6 cylinder engines is a MUST have , also filters of all sizes are readily available ( 3/4 Unf thread ) where as the original paper element types are not always available . WeeAndy
Ok thanks, will get one and fit, cleaning that paper element cannister was a bit messy. Thanks
Lord Sorbington
It's not a lot cleaner with a spin on filter. The oil pressure builds up a lot faster on the first start of the day though so probably a good idea.
Richard B
sorbs wrote:The oil pressure builds up a lot faster on the first start of the day though so probably a good idea.Thats because the spin-on conversion does not drain out whilst the engine is left standing. Also with a Saloon/Estate you can fit a large filter, GFE30 or equivilent.
