WIMPUS
Hi, My car is rubbish on choke, don't work very good & co .. Last saturday Shaun & Ferny gave me a visit . Talking to Ferny and telling him my problem, he said that you normally set up the choke with a feeler gauge..So now, it there a good guide somewhere how to do it correct ? (or even a movie in the technical section ? ) :)Or is it in the 'original' spitfire workshop manual ? Wim
BrendanD
Its in the workshop manual. But basically you need to slip a 0.10 feeler between the fast idle cam and the adjustment screw on both carbs, so they idle equally on choke. Makes a big difference.
