New period looking radio/music player

Can anyone recommend a period looking but modern featured radio? I'd like to use my iPod, DAB would be good, it needs to be a DIN mounted rather than spindles and ideally it would be about to Bluetooth to my phone and be able to work hands free.

The car is a 76 Stag I want something that looks period but is usable

Any advice?

Ipod is a bit last decade, it is all buetooth now. Can you convert it somehow? there is not much choice of what you want.

Maybe a hidden bluetooth amp, some have DAB built in and use a remote control, then any period looking radio. Or use your phone for DAB or streaming?

I would love to have a CD player (quality so much better than iPod and BlueTooth!) but perhaps the noise in my TR7 convertible would drown out the difference! I do have a modern DAB with phone bluetooth in my MGB GT but I have to say that using the phone is not easy as old cars are not as quiet as new ones, so  its not that useful a feature.

Anyway this link is to a classic looking one with a USB socket so an iPod could be connected https://www.classiccarstereo.co.uk/shop/classic-car-stereos/autosound-classic-car-stereo/black-retro-301-dab-bt/   Or this Blaupunkt one -  https://www.classiccarstereo.co.uk/shop/classic-car-stereos/blaupunkt-classic-car-stereo/dover-usb80/    Blaupunkt may be a tad too modern for a 76 Stag however.

Also this one -

There was a guy who did internal conversions of old period car radios but last time I looked his website was down with a one liner 'illness' message. Otherwise the NEC Classic Car show this November might throw up some alternatives.

HiMartin,

back in March I bought what I thought was a classic looking radio that fitted by its front knobs.

Sadly this is not so. It is a standard DIN fitting.  It has all the features you are describing.

It is not good to me. If you PM me your address I will post it to you.  FOC

They are no longer on EBay so I can't post an easy pic

May be the same bloke that used to attend the Enfield Pageant.  Not there this last year or two and thus your post might be the reason for him being MIA.  Can you post his website url?

Evening folks, reopening this thread. After three years of service in the TR6 my cheapo retro £15 Chinese Bluetooth stereo has finally packed up. It’s been great because it has Bluetooth and I can skip phone tracks and change volume on the head unit. Any recommendations under £200 with better sound quality. I like the look of the blaupunkt skagen but reviews are very mixed.
