Nick Jones Posted April 20, 2014 Share Posted April 20, 2014 The Stromberg you need is exactly the same as the one used on a Herald 13/60, which may be easier to find. I may still have one in my lock-up. Whereabouts in the country are you?You can persuade a 1.5" (HS4, HIF4 or HIF38) SU to fit. This will involve either drilling and tapping the manifold to move the mounting studs through 45º or using a round file to elongate the fixing holes in the cab - depends on which "hand" SU you find. Slightly more involved, but you could also fit a pair of 1.25" HS2 carbs as used on the 1300TC and Spitfire Mk3 and Mk4. There are also single SU manifolds for the 1300/1500 engines as used on Toledo, Dolly 1300 and 1500FWD which will fit with a bit of tinkering but these a relatively rare now.Nick Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
