logicaluk
yesterday it took delivery of a pair of 2000 saloon carbs (thanks scrapman), i spent the day stripping & cleaning them. ive ordered a rebuild kit from Andrew turner, hopefully it will arrive in today's post. mean while ive done a dry rebuild as the set up as the cables connect to the rear carb in the Vitesse & the front on the saloon, this has raised some questions1 both sets of carbs have throttle & choke return spring on only one carb but the manual shows on for each, im going to put throttle springs on both is there any point in puting one on each choke?2 where is the choke bridge supposed to sit when it's in the off position all 4 carbs are slightly different, and i cant find it in the work shop manual.many thanksDan

logicaluk
ive just rebuilt my carbs the vitesse now goes like stink, rebuilding was fairley straight fowards i fitted new needles aswell, the kit even came with spindel seals, after talking with andrew turner ive fitted them & will add a drop of super glue to hold them in place, the choke bridge setting is done by the spindle stops beeing bent at 90 deg.
