6J wheels on a mk1/Stag Brakes

Anyone know if it is possible to fit 6J wheels on to a mk1 that has mk1 driveshafts fitted.
I want to fit some Revolution wheels to the grey car and can only get 6J width in 15'' dia wheels.

Now this might seem a silly question, but will I upset the brake balance of the car if I was to only fit stag brakes to the front of the car?

After the Track day at Mallory, I reckon I need to sort the brakes out on my car and Stag parts seem the most logical upgrade.

Tim,

we had a set of 14 x 7J Mini-lites on a MkI saloon with a MkII rear end. I cannot remember the tyres I think they were 205/65 or 60. They were too low profile for my tastes.

They did fit, but it depends on the off-set. Expensive to "buy & try", but you might have to. Good luck.

Ask Chris Witor, he is the guru..........

Stag brakes on the front only should be OK, not the other way round - the last thing you want is the rear wheels locking before the fronts.

7 x 14 wheels fitted with 215/60 tyres will fit with MKII shafts, but spacers might be required, depending on the offset.
