MSter Posted June 14, 2014 Share Posted June 14, 2014 ok im in the process of restoring a 13/60 triumph herald its been off the road 20 years drove fine before coming off however I wasn't looking to touch the diff but now think while im there I might as well give it an overhaul.Can I do it myself im quite confident to strip it down and rebuild are they easy to overhaul and what would people recommend new seals?? im not sure what is in there so would rather have everything ready to do the jobAny help/advice is greatly received Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
rustbuckit2011 Posted June 14, 2014 Share Posted June 14, 2014 To be honest, if it aint broke, dont fix it! If it is leaking from either the stub axles or diff head then the gaskets are easy enough to change. Other than that, new oil and a lick of paint should see it right. MSter Posted June 15, 2014 Author Share Posted June 15, 2014 No its just a normal herald with normal power going through it no leaks and fairly certain it was fine when taken out of service whats the best oil to put in it and how much??
