Richard B
Is a 1500HL O/D propshaft the same as a non-O/D propshaft. We are looking at converting my daughters 1300 to overdrive.
Clive
No definitive answer I am afraid. The TDC bunch say sometimes it works, sometimes not. I suspect you may get away with a jiggle of the engine position, the difference is only 1" after all.But I think there is a proper od prop. If you can find one. partsaver
The 1300 and 1500 dolomite share the same prop which is different to the 1500 O/D prop, this is the same as an 1850 o/d prop so your answer is no.It would be near impossible to 'jiggle' an engine to move by one inch as the engine and gearbox mounts would line up with their mounting holes, if somehow you did manage to line up everything that much out the mounts or centre bearing would need replacing regular. The confusion normally lies with the differnce in single or three rail gearboxes differences.RKC721 fits 1300/1500 dolomiteRKC659 fits 1500 O/D and 1850 O/D312053 fits 1850 non O/D.
