Lord Sorbington Posted June 12, 2007 Share Posted June 12, 2007 Whilst having my new front suspension fitted at a garage today, I asked them to cast thier eye over the rear suspension, which makes a variety of knocks and clonks.I know the driveshaft UJs and splines need some attention, but the bloke reckoned there was some play in the big alloy suspension arms too, nothing serious but still a bit of slop.He reckoned the actual arms could wear on Stags / 2000s. Is he right? I was hoping to get away with a new set of bushes. Never really seen the arms for sale anywhere so assumed they were pretty durable - anyone known them to wear, or is he mistaken? Richard B Posted June 13, 2007 Share Posted June 13, 2007 Can be a bit of a pain to get out, either make/use some tool to draw out the rubber bushes or a good old fire, burn them out with a blow torch (best done off the car).
