Whilst having my new front suspension fitted at a garage today, I asked them to cast thier eye over the rear suspension, which makes a variety of knocks and clonks.

I know the driveshaft UJs and splines need some attention, but the bloke reckoned there was some play in the big alloy suspension arms too, nothing serious but still a bit of slop.
He reckoned the actual arms could wear on Stags / 2000s.  Is he right?  I was hoping to get away with a new set of bushes.

Never really seen the arms for sale anywhere so assumed they were pretty durable - anyone known them to wear, or is he mistaken?

Can be a bit of a pain to get out, either make/use some tool to draw out the rubber bushes or a good old fire, burn them out with a blow torch (best done off the car).

The new ones 'pop' in quite easily although a second pair of hands helps.
