Gt6 1968!!
Hi everyone and seasons greetings 🎅 Could anyone recommend me some tyres for wire wheels mi1 gt6 I'd really like the authentic look for them rounded side wall if that makes sense and is possible!!! I'm going to go for 155/80/13 as per the answers on my last thread! Merry Christmas 🎄
Clive
If you have a big budget, Michelin XAS. But about £200 each.... Otherwise I would choose a quality tyre, any of the "proper" makes, although not many still make that size. Dunlop and Continental are available. Or a curveball, I recently fitted a set of Toyo nanoenergy 3 tyres to my sisters car, really cheap (£100 a set!) from Demon Tweaks and seem to behave well on the road . RobPearce
I have Toyo NanoEnergy on my Spitfire and they seem quite decent.
ferny
The Acclaim is on its second set of Toyo's in that size. Good tyres, but very soft sidewall which does notice. Also, when they start to wear they go quickly, which is worth keeping an eye on.

PeteStupps
I've had Dunlop 'street response' on my Spitfire for the last 5 years and am happy with them. Prices have risen since I bought them though! £50 each now. https://www.blackcircles.com/tyres/brands/dunlop/streetresponse-2#anchorAllSizes
