RMC590L
Hello, hoping someone can help me. Im currently putting the rear suspension of my 1973 2000 back together. Does anyone no if there is a torque setting for the six nuts and studs that hold the drive shaft wheel bearing housing to the rear suspension arm? Just trying to avoid ripping the treads out the aluminium arm.thanks in advance for any help.

RMC590L
Thank you, i can feel a little more confident whilst doing them up now. Dont fancy having to take the arms out again after overtighting!
Richard B
If they strip get a 5/16" UNF recoil kit, for about £15. You can fit the inserts in situ (if you are careful).

Richard B
Chronos are a good supplier under £17.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THREAD-REPAIR-KIT-5-16-UNF-CAN-BE-USED-WITH-HELICOIL-INSERTS-/371019871816?pt=UK_Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM&hash=item566281f648#ht_4380wt_758Prices from a lot of places have gone up, most suppliers are now selling circa £25 for the kits.
