Paul318UK
Hi All,I have looked at 4 Spifires for sale today and two of them has pimples in the paint on panels that had been replace. Not through rust and not orange peel or 'spyder' type corrosion. Is this common? Is it a know defect in the micropoors of the pannels causeing pin point corrosion or a paint adhesion problem?Paul

rotoflex
Sometimes on a mediocre respray the new paint doesn't stick in spots to the old paint, yielding round puffy areas that are in size usually more similar to small boils than pimples. The good part about that is that the old paint beneath is still clinging tightly to the metal via the original red lead primer, & there's not likely rust behind it.
