Eurofest Action Day @ Castle Combe

I may be going- is it £25 a session, so every time you go out its another £25? I am abou to re-time the cam shaft, fit the AFR exhaust bungs, tap the manifolds for the MAP sensor closer to the engine, so it might be worth a go if the car is back on the road.
Lots of other things getting in the way with the plan at the moment-  so its all going a bit slowly.... :-/

It will be about £20 per session as I'm booking a club stand for the TDC. No reason CT can't organise a stand & get cheap sessions too.

I'll need to know if you're definitely going & how many sessions you want, by the end of the weekend though as the event gets sold out fairly quickly.

Sorry Martin, I can't give a definite yes, as I am not likely to get time on the car for a week or two (bereavement/funeral to organise and my attentions lavished on the Triumph would quite rightly be frowned upon....).

Ah! good, you all have your tickets/passes. Trackerjack & Stiglet will be there as well. Don't forget, try to get there at least an hour before your first session & head straight for the sound testing area. Don't forget your licence as they now do spot checks.

After getting it all back together again today, I wasn't able to go for a good run as the thermostat is getting sticky in operation, so I don't want to fry the new cylinderhead gasket. Ill get a new thermostat tomorrow. The weather has been appalling, so couldn't go out for  nice blast. The quality of the Phoenix 6-3-1 is absolute rubbish. I wont be spending money with them again >:(.
Looks like i'll be fiddlin' tomoorow night! ;D

Well, in-spite of torrential rain overnight, the day went very well today. GazaGT6 enjoyed a rideout out in the car. It was a somewhat tentative session due to the prevailing slippery conditions- we had to wait nearly 45 minutes to get on track, due to the number of 'excursions' and car-to-car contact. Speaking of which, most of the western worlds population of Saab's were present here today, ranging from quick cars to guys looking for a parking place.... A number of Saab's made the supreme sacriice today ;)
Nice to see Jon and Diane there, as well as 'Scary Daughter'(though she seemed quite the opposite?). Martin and Martin gave it what for on the track with Toledo and Dolomite joining  battle in some very spirited driving.
Martin gave me a great blast at the end of the day- phew! 8) His driving is best described as confidently 'pressing-on'! Wonderful fun with some cracking manouvres effected very well indeed: this despite having a near death moment with another bloody Saab who wanted to park us in his boot!  :B

it was a fun day, and the ride in the brucey mobile was great fun! :P met the martins and was very impressed with 2.0 vauxhall engine that had been put into the cery tidy toledo! there were a few 'chavy' escorts and corsa giving it wat for on the track....so much infact that a white corsa went off right infront of us, made be chuckle...role on the MGOC track day, im guessing the triumph lot will be invited again  :)
