Hi looking for some advice on changing a clutch on mark 4 spitfire with overdrive. Is it possible to do without removeing engine?. Any tips would be great.

Dunno about the overdrive, but it's easy enough without. Gearbox tunnel cover out from the insde. Drop the propshaft off completely and then undo the seven hundered and forty two bolts around the bell housing. Off it comes from inside the car :)

Yes is the short answer
Passenger seat out/fob removed
Radio support out
Tunnel out
Undo prop at front
Remove starter motor
Undo clutch slave cylinder
Undo gear box tail
Remove speedo drive
Undo bell housing
Jack up rear of engine to take strain then eventually lift it to lift gbox tail from prop
Remove bell housing and gearbox and wiggle like fury to remove gearbox and bell housing
....and there is the clutch, remove from flywheel and replace
Reinstall in reverse
