mowerman
Having a bit of a dice at the weekend with a mate`s SP250 Dart. At approx 95mph the Vitesse steering went "light" a bit like driving on ice really!! Is this normal? The car has a std set up at the front with new bushes etc. Any ideas greatfully received.Steve. valencia1
were your tyre pressures too high? or maybe the s/rack damper needs resetting?what was the surface like on this private road?????

Tim Bancroft
McJim not being serious- blimey.Sounds like Mowerman was suffering from understeer- common Vitesse/GT6 problem- at a point it will convert to oversteer- loads of fun- catch it if you can! All down to poor weight distribution of the heavy six cylinder engine.
Nick Jones
Actually I reckon Jim might be quite near the mark. Vitesse aerodynamics not really suited to high speed.......Tyre pressures and tracking worth considering though. What tyre sizes are you running?Nick
